Buddy is a 10-year-old black Lab mix. Cher is a 5-year-old unknown mix. They have been companions for most of Cher's life, and we would prefer to place them together, though that is not a requirement. They come from a family in which the mother is currently hospitalized long-term. The husband and son are in temporary living quarters with no permanent home.

The family was previously well-off financially, but fell on hard times. Buddy & Cher are both in good condition, strong and healthy, and up to date on shots. They have been house dogs for their whole lives except for the last two months. We have been boarding them since mid-November free of charge. They do not have any personality problems. They weigh about 50 lbs. each.

Buddy & Cher are friendly and affectionate. Buddy is a sweet lad that warms to people almost immediately and loves to show and receive affection. Cher starts out a little timid with strangers, but warms quickly and is a pleasure to have around.

There is no adoption fee for these two, but prospective owners will be screened to assure a good home.
